Micro = very  small

biology = the study of living organism

microbiology: the study of very small living organisms (microorganisms or microbes)

Microorganisms (M.O) are ubiquitous (found everywhere)

pathogens: the microorganisms that causes disease (Germs)

Biotechnology: use of M.O. in industry (food or chemical industries, antibodies production)

indigenous microflora: M.O that live on and in our bodies

antibiotics: substance produced by M.O. that is effective in killing or inhibiting the growth of other  M.O.

Bioremediation: using genetically engineered M.O. that is effective in killing or inhibiting the growth of other M.O.
